After an association lasting almost four decades, I Venkat, Director in Eenadu Group, has decided to move on. Official comments were not available on the move at the time of fling the report. However, sources familiar with the development inform that Venkat has already put in his papers. Details on his next assignment couldn’t be ascertained at time of filing this report.

Venkat joined the Eenadu Group 38 years ago, and has seen it grow from a print company to a media conglomerate straddling print, television, Internet and so on. As Director, he has been responsible for the group's strategic forays across media and across state boundaries.

Venkat has also played active roles in various industry bodies like the Indian Newspaper Society and the Indian Broadcasting Foundation, and has also been instrumental in guiding research such as the Indian Readership Survey.

As is known, Eenadu, Newstime and ETV are promoted by Ushodaya Enterprises.
