Altman returns with a new initial board of Bret Taylor (Chair), Larry Summers, and Adam D'Angelo

Sam Altman is being brought back as CEO of OpenAI, days after the company's board suddenly fired him for not being "consistently candid in his communications."

Altman's ouster was met with outrage and mass resignations. Amind the new developments, OpenAI is also rejigging the original board responsible for firing Altman. Several members will be eliminated, according to the company's communication.

Ex-Salesforce exec Bret Taylor, ex-US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, and Quora founder Adam D’Angelo will be part of the new board at the AI startup. Taylor will be the chair of the board, the startup said.

Co-founder Greg Brockman who also quit the company announced that he will be joining back.
