Jay Morzaria, Head of Creative at Rephrase.ai, has announced his departure from the company after its acquisition by Adobe. Morzaria confirmed to e4m that he will be serving at the company until the first week of December.

On his LinkedIn post, Morzaria wrote, "It's with immense pride that I report to you that Rephrase.ai has been acquired by a very large tech company. I think it's a significant step in our journey and the right direction for the future. It only feels right for me to step aside as we make this transition."

"I witnessed their growth from the outside through some amazing advertising campaigns they did until I finally joined them. After I joined, life has been a roller coaster with me adapting myself to the world of AI, tech and startups. I feel this journey has been one of immense growth with a lot of learnings."

"I am indebted to all the team members whom I had the chance to work with, and who were extremely helpful in making my transition seamless from the advertising world to the tech world.  I have always cheered on for Rephrase, and I will continue to cheer on for all its special people who made it what it is today, no matter where the journey takes us ahead."

Morzaria told e4m, “I think each and every team member of Rephrase has collectively contributed to this spectacular win. The large tech company that has acquired us offers a range of tools that we use in the A&M industry everyday. Our collective efforts have led to this company making its first major acquisition in India and also making its first acquisition in the genAI space. Only exceptional talent combined with strategic efforts can help you pull off such a feat.”

Prior to this, Morzaria has worked with many companies as a part of their creative teams donning many roles. He has worked at Spring Marketing Capital, OktoBuzz, Schbang, Atom Network, The Glitch, Wavemaker, Ogilvy and Mather and Tonic Worldwide, among others. He started his career with Bright Outdoor Media as an assistant media planner in 2012.
