NRS 2005 is out: Jagran takes top slot among all dailies, India Today tops in magazines

The NRS 2005 findings have been announced. Dainik Jagran is at the top of the readership heap among dailies across all languages, and India Today has the highest readership among all magazines. The Top 10 list is once again dominated by Hindi publications. The Times of India is in the ninth slot.

Dainik Jagran has recorded a readership of 20 million. It is followed by Dainik Bhaskar at No. 2, Eenadu at No. 3, Hindustan at No. 4, and Amar Ujala at the fifth slot.

Daily Thanthi and Lokmat take the sixth and seventh positions respectively. The eighth slot is taken by Rajasthan Patrika.

Though the highest readership among English dailies remains with The Times of India, it is No. 9 in the overall rankings. Bengali daily Anand Bazar Patrika claimed the tenth spot.
