Ankur Warikoo has reportedly resigned from his position as CEO of Nearbuy, the hyper-local e-commerce company.

Warikoo will remain with the company as a board member and shareholder. The announcement was made through a Linkedin post and Warikoo added that Co-founder Ravi Shankar will assume the responsibilities as CEO. He, however, did not yet confirm his future plans, saying in the post “I do not know what I will be doing next. And that's super exciting”.

Warikoo is known as an investor and entrepreneur and had joined Nearbuy in 2015 as CEO when the company was still a part of Groupon India. After the company parted ways with Groupon, it rebranded as Nearbuy. In December 2017, Nearbuy and food & lifestyle app, Little were acquired and merged by Paytm.
