Ex-Airtel Chief Brand Officer Rajiv Mathrani joins Star Sports as CMO
Mathrani will report to Star Sports CEO Gautam Thakar
Star Sports has appointed ex-Airtel Chief Brand and Online Officer Rajiv Mathrani as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
The development has been confirmed to exchange4media by a highly placed source in the channel. Mathrani joined Star Sports on September 17 and will report to Star Sports CEO Gautam Thakar.
Mathrani was with Airtel for more than three years. There, he led the brand and online teams in the phase of Airtel’s transformation from a telecom to a digital services player.
Prior to joining Airtel, Mathrani worked with PepsiCo for over six years as Senior Director- Snacks. He has also worked with Marico and Citibank India.
