Management cartoonist Prriya Raj no more
Raj worked for national and international publications such as The Pioneer, The Financial Express and Hong Kong Standard
Internationally acclaimed management cartoonist Prriya Raj, known by his nom de plume “Hpraz”, passed away on November 28.
He introduced the concept of management cartoons in India with his column “Under The Pyramid” in The Pioneer in 1996. The column was later published in The Financial Express and then later Hong Kong Standard, making it the first column to be published abroad.
He also contributed to The Hindu between 1999 and 2003 for its weekly cartoon called “Out of the Box.” Raj’s daily column “Funny Business” was also published in DNA between 2005 and 2007.
An MBA topper from MONIRBA, Allahabad University, India, Raj has over three decades of experience in brand management, marketing, advertising, communication and media (print, internet and broadcast) in various leadership positions and as a management consultant.
He also taught in reputed B schools as a core faculty.
