Tata Sky unveils PVR technology with the launch of Tata Sky Plus
Tata Sky aims to give a ‘Plus-size’ TV viewing experience with the launch of its personal video recorder technology, called Tata Sky+. Priced at Rs 8,999 for the digicomp, with an additional Rs 1,000 as installation charges, the cost too comes in ‘Plus’ proportions. Tata Sky+ service would be rolled out in a phased manner and supported by a 360 degree campaign.

NDTV has earned consolidated revenues of Rs 128 crore during the second quarter ended September 30 in FY09, as compared to Rs 77.50 crore during the corresponding of the previous fiscal. However, the media conglomerate has reported a net loss of Rs 119 crore on account of the entertainment side of the business being in its early growth phase.
I&B Ministry moots news bulletins in private FM radio
A long-standing demand of private FM radio players is set to be fulfilled by the year-end. After Telecom Regulatory Authority of India recommended news in private FM radio, albeit with some restrictions, the I&B Ministry has now reportedly given its nod to 261 private FM channels to air news and current affairs programmes produced by AIR.
