Style Spa Furniture, manufacturers of ready-to-use furniture from the K K Birla Group has appointed TBWA\India to handle its creative business. The win follows a multi-agency pitch which included Ogilvy, McCann and Lowe. The business will be handled by the Chennai branch of TBWA.

STAR India has roped in Bharti Airtel’s Sanjay Gupta as its Chief Operating Officer. The COO of the company Jagdish Kumar’s mandate, on the other hand, would be to head the recently created joint venture between STAR India and the Jupiter Group STAR Jupiter in the south. He would continue reporting to STAR India CEO Uday Shankar.

The Chadha Group, which is foraying into education with its pet project, Genesis High, has appointed Noshe Oceanic to handle the account. The account size is pegged at Rs 5 crore. Genesis High is touted as a high profile educational institute, which will offer international curricula as well.

Etisalat (Emirates Telecommunications), a telecom operator based in the UAE, is on the lookout for a creative partner. Etisalat has picked up 45 per cent stake in Indian telecom firm Swan Telecom Pvt Ltd for $900 million in a move to enter the Indian market.
