Sun TV Network appoints Sanjay Reddy as its Head of Andhra Pradesh Television Business

Sun TV Network Limited has appointed Sanjay Reddy as Senior Vice President to head the Network’s Andhra Pradesh Television Business comprising Gemini TV, Gemini Music, Gemini News, Teja TV, Navvulu TV & Kushi TV with effect from August 24, 2009. Reddy has recently quit as the Chief Operating Officer of Zee Network and was in charge of Zee’s South Indian Business. He will report to Ajay Vidyasagar, the COO of Sun TV Network.

NRS & IRS to be merged; new body to be formed comprising members from MRUC & NRSC

The National Readership Studies Council (NRSC) and the Media Research User’s Council (MRUC) have decided to merge the National Readership Survey and the Indian Readership Survey to create a single research for the print industry. Both organisations have agreed to this proposition. It is understood that the new body that would lead this survey would comprise 10 members each from MRUC and NRSC.

All’s not well at Voice of India

Trouble is brewing at the Noida office of Triveni Media’s Voice of India (VOI) channel. VOI employees struck work on August 21 and 21 to protest against non-payment of salaries. However, when contacted, Amit Sinha, Director & CEO, Voice of India, maintained, “There was no strike. It was an internal matter and has been resolved now.”
