Edelman India has announced the appointment of Varghese Cherian as National Practice Leader – Technology, based in its Gurgaon office. Cherian joins Edelman from Hanmer MS&L, where he was Vice President, South and Practice Head – IT. At Edelman he will be reporting to Robert Holdheim, Managing Director and Country Head, Edelman India. Cherian will be responsible for existing client relationships, migration of global technology mandates of Edelman to India, growing the practice and building Edelman India as one of the top PR firms in technology practice in India.

Yes, we do get involved in pitches, but we are selective. However, we have never believed standing in the queue and pitching… We believe that we are consultants and need to be given that respect. People who don’t give us that respect, we don’t pitch for them. Hence, we are very selective. But again, there are certain categories where we would want to be a part of. So yes, as an agency, this is where we focus on pitches.
