The Faridabad Municipal Corporation has invited sealed tenders from interested parties offering ad rights on a wide range of outdoor media properties on a BOT basis. The media properties being offered at various locations include 84 unipoles, 55 gantries, and 11 BQS, among others.

The Bangalore office has won sports brand Puma and staffing company Teamlease, while the Chennai office has bagged digital brand Sify and confectionary brand Lotte. The combined account size of these businesses is pegged at upwards of Rs 20 crore.

The Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, has invited open tenders under the ‘two-packet’ system from agencies for making backlit displays for a special art exhibition, titled ‘Art Celebrates’, on the occasion of the Commonwealth Games 2010. The successful bidders shall be required to put up 100 high quality displays at different locations in Delhi and NCR to depict works of art. The EMD required for this tender is Rs 50,000.

They had entered into a partnership with US-based Brand Magic sometime in July 2010 to bring this technology to India. The who’s who of Indian news television industry came together to celebrate its best and the brightest at the much awaited exchange4media Indian News Broadcasting Awards (eINBA) 2010, held in Delhi on September 1. The eINBA awarded excellence for work and achievements during the period between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010. Awards were given away in 26 categories in the third edition of eINBA.

This is my belief as a journalist, I cannot follow the tabloid route, or do what other people are doing. I solemnly believe that if people get a sensible debate, you will get viewers – there is that interest in society and the developments that impact it. My concept for the programmes was very clear – follow the news and try to raise questions around it. It is the oldest trick in the trade but if you do it with sincerity and conviction, it still works.
