The newly launched facebook page and application have been in their beta testing phase for more than a month and have received an enormous response from the listeners.

The Faridabad Municipal Corporation has invited sealed tenders from interested parties offering ad rights on a wide range of outdoor media properties on a BOT basis. The media properties being offered at various locations include 84 unipoles, 55 gantries, and 11 BQS, among others.
BIG Street, the out-of-home initiative of Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd, has elevated Ashwin Padmanabhan as National Head. He will be reporting to Rabe Iyer, Business Head, BIG Live and BIG Street. Padmanabhan has been with the group since its inception.
OMD India’s south offices have been buzzing with action with four new businesses to the Group. The Bangalore office has won sports brand Puma and staffing company Teamlease, while the Chennai office has bagged digital brand Sify and confectionary brand Lotte. The combined account size of these businesses is pegged at upwards of Rs 20 crore.
The Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, has invited open tenders under the ‘two-packet’ system from agencies for making backlit displays for a special art exhibition, titled ‘Art Celebrates’, on the occasion of the Commonwealth Games 2010. The successful bidders shall be required to put up 100 high quality displays at different locations in Delhi and NCR to depict works of art. The EMD required for this tender is Rs 50,000.
Sports marketing company Planman Stars, a part of the Planman Group, is quite upbeats about the new technology called Virtual Advertising. They had entered into a partnership with US-based Brand Magic sometime in July 2010 to bring this technology to India. Since then, they have used Virtual Advertising during the MicroMax Cup in Sri Lanka and have reported a huge success.
Radio Mirchi is the hot favourite in the Delhi market as per the RAM data for a four-week average ending with Week 33. According to the market share figures of radio channels during the last four weeks, Radio Mirchi ended Week 33 with a market share of 24.4 per cent.
Law & Kenneth has promoted Neeraja Kale to Senior Vice President and Branch Head of Law & Kenneth Mumbai. She was earlier the Vice-President. Kale had joined Law & Kenneth a year back. This is the first time that Law & Kenneth is appointing a Branch Head for Mumbai.

The who’s who of Indian news television industry came together to celebrate its best and the brightest at the much awaited exchange4media Indian News Broadcasting Awards (eINBA) 2010, held in Delhi on September 1. The eINBA awarded excellence for work and achievements during the period between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010. Awards were given away in 26 categories in the third edition of eINBA.
This is my belief as a journalist, I cannot follow the tabloid route, or do what other people are doing. I solemnly believe that if people get a sensible debate, you will get viewers – there is that interest in society and the developments that impact it. My concept for the programmes was very clear – follow the news and try to raise questions around it. It is the oldest trick in the trade but if you do it with sincerity and conviction, it still works.
