Srinivasan Iyengar has joined Express Avenue, a strategic venture of Express Infrastructure, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Express Newspapers Pvt Ltd, as Business Head - Events and Advertising. Iyengar will be based in Chennai and will take care of entire mall events and advertising operations. He will also be responsible for planning and developing marketing plans for the brand in the context of mall branding. Prior to joining Express Mall (South India’s biggest mall located in Chennai), Iyengar was Business Manager – South, Ad space media, one of the leading Indian Ad sales companies.

Nirmal Pulickal, former Associate Creative Director, Wieden+Kennedy, has joined Mudra Communications as Creative Head, North and East. He will report to Bobby Pawar, Chief Creative Officer, Mudra Group, and oversee the creative output in the two regions for all the agencies under the group, including Mudra India, DDB Mudra, Mudra Max and Ignite Mudra. Pulickal has 12 years’ experience in advertising. He had started his career in 1998 with a short stint at Clarion (now Bates141). Over the years, he has worked on brands such as Nike, Royal Enfield, Chevrolet Beat and Cruz, Incredible India, Indigo, Singapore Tourism, Citibank, Asahi Glass, United Colors of Benetton (UCB) and Cornetto Walls, among others.

Big Productions, the TV content creation division of Reliance Big Entertainment, has announced the appointment of Jayesh Patil and Bimal Unnikrishnan as Head of Fiction and Non-Fiction, respectively. In their new roles, Patil and Unnikrishnan will be responsible for their respective functions and will report into Sarvanan P, Business Head, Big Productions. With over 16 years of rich creative work spanning writing and creative direction of Hindi fiction shows, Patil has to his credit over 4500 of television episodes that he has penned. Unnikrishnan began his career 15 years ago as a trainee director with Zee Television. His work experience pans leading production houses ranging Miditech, UTV Television and The Right Picture as a Senior Creative Director.
