Brand MTV forays into print with first magazine launch, Noise Factory

With its promise to move beyond music and television, the magazine is yet another extension to brand MTV and is the first ever print publication launched by MTV India. Launched in November 2010, Noise Factory is priced at Rs. 75 and is available via subscriptions across 23 cities in India or at select locations and bookstores like Odyssey and Landmark, as well as across local distribution networks in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata amongst others.

 While the exit of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ caused some concerns , the opening numbers for the big ticket ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ in the metro markets have ensured a good weekend for the channel officials. With 4.5 TVR for the curtainraiser episode and an average rating of 5.6 TVR for the opening episodes, Sony’s Ajit Thakur calls the numbers “unprecedented”.
