Best of Bharat Kapadia’s ‘Kahani Mein Twist’ unveiled

Everyone in the Indian media and communications industry is familiar with print honcho and industry association bossman Bharat Kapadia’s one liners, which are a regular feature in IMPACT, called ‘Kahani Mein Twist’. The best 50 of these cartoon strips by the Director of Lokmat Group are now published by IMPACT and the exchange4media Group as ‘Best of Kahaani Mein Twist’. The book was unveiled last week at the Jagran presented IMPACT Person of the Year ceremony in Mumbai.

Radio Mirchi makes Facebook into an Audio book

Sud, who has been entertaining listeners on Radio Mirchi with his hilarious jokes from his book ‘hansi ke phuwaare’ and his unique style of talking, came live on Facebook and entertained people in a unique digital marketing initiative launched by Radio Mirchi on 13th Dec. This six hour live session on Facebook was unique because rather than giving just a regular ‘written status updates’, Sud was responding to his fans and their questions through ‘audio updates’ in his characteristic style of talking. This was probably the first time that any brand attempted to take a radio character and adapted it to a social media platform like Facebook.

President suspends Prasar Bharti CEO BS Lalli

President Pratibha Devisingh Patil has, reportedly, signed the order for suspension of BS Lalli, CEO, Prasar Bharti. It is learnt that a letter recommending Lalli’s suspension was sent to the Prime Minister’s Office by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, which was then sent to the President for her acquiesce.

Keeping that in mind we either had to create a kick ass product that would be a differentiator in the brand space for which we needed tons of money or go through the grind on our core capabilities, which is sales and business development. That is the sole reason we got into a space where we could shine from day one and touch wood it has. We were the first to go to market with an open proposition and not just being a blind ad-network, created a new format called ‘hybrid ad-network’ and testimony to that is not only the market welcomed us but we also ensured that the competitors in the space followed us, which to me is the biggest testimony in any business.
