AI start-up Flam secures Rs 38 crore in Pre Series-A funding

According to the company, the fund will be used for global expansion

Flam, an AI-powered mixed reality (MR) publishing platform, has closed a pre-series A funding round, raising Rs 38 crore. This round saw participation from Turbostart, AI-focused Twin Ventures, Alphatron Capital, and notable angel investors, along with several family offices. Existing backers such as SF-based Inventus Capital Partners, SVQ, and 9Unicorns also invested.

With this infusion of capital, Flam plans to expand its MR platform's reach into North America, Europe, and the MENA region.

Shourya Agarwal, founder and CEO of Flam, said, “Content has been evolving over decades and is now transitioning into MR experiences. Our platform is dedicated to making MR accessible to the masses.”

Turbostart’s CEO, Ganesh Ranju highlighted, “We haven’t come across any other platform exposing consumers to MR so effortlessly. Flam eliminates friction- with no need for headsets, app downloads or web AR, MR accessible through simple links from any social media including websites and offline channels.”

Vishwesh Pai, founding partner at Alphatron Capital, said, “We've been observing huge interest from brands and delight among consumers for MR, which makes us extremely optimistic about the future of this space. After interacting with Flam, we instantly knew we had found a missing ingredient in MR’s adoption.”

Flam claims to feature the fastest image recognition and top-tier image and ground tracking, powered by sophisticated AI algorithms. The optimisation of 3D graphics rendering ensures a seamless user experience. Flam’s device-agnostic platform operates smoothly on all Android and iOS mobile devices, enabling the rapid creation and deployment of MR content. Marketers benefit from features like redirection buttons, user journey tracking, and comprehensive analytics.
