News headlines to be back on X: Elon Musk
The tech mogul has not specified when the feature will be reintroduced
Months after announcing that news links on X won’t carry headlines, Elon Musk has announced that he will be reversing the decision. Now news reports and articles posted on the platform will again feature headlines.
Musk hasn’t specified when the feature will be reintroduced. “In an upcoming release, X will overlay the title in the upper portion of the image of a URL card,” he tweeted.
In August, Musk announced that there will no longer be headlines accompanying news articles posted on the platform. The move was to retain more users on the platform and to discourage them from clicking on external links, according to some media reports.
