Goyal is a well-known name in the world of media and communication. He was the Group Chairman of Dentsu’s India operations from 2003 to 2011. Before this, he was Group CEO of Zee Telefilms and has also been President of ad agency Rediffusion DY&R. He is the first Indian on the global jury team of Emmy Awards (2002). He is also an eminent writer and has penned bestsellers like ‘The Dum Dum Bullet’ and ‘Konjo- The Fighting Spirit’. Recently, he submitted his Ph.D. thesis, a 450-page analysis called ‘Celebrities as Human Brands’, at the University of Delhi.
