According to news reports, Instagram, the Facebook-owned photo-messaging platform will be rebranded to include the parent company's name - Facebook. According to reports after the rebrand, Instagram will be known as  'Instagram from Facebook'.

The rebrand comes as Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg attempts to establish full control over the entity, which also includes the integration of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The integration would bring together around 2.6 billion users and aims to enable communication across the three platforms, which at present, cannot be done since the apps have no common core.

Reports have also suggested that after leaving Facebook in September last year, Instagram Co-Founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger have expressed displeasure over the loss of autonomy within the Zuckerberg controlled company.
