Meta introduces broadcast channels on Facebook and Messenger
The announcement was made at Meta's IGU Delhi edition
Meta has announced launching broadcast channels on Facebook and Messenger. The channels, according to the company, is a public one-to-many tool to deeply engage with one’s followers.
Citing the benefits of the tool, Meta shared that it’s a “direct communication line with your biggest fans and a lightweight way to keep followers in the know.”
According to the company, the channels can be used by both individual figures and companies. Anyone can join broadcast channels to stay up to date on the latest from their favorite Pages and dive deeper into the topics that matter most to them, they said.
The company shared that broadcast channels also give a place for followers to feel even more connected and dive deeper on the things that matter most to them. Admins of Pages can use broadcast channel features like polls to get instant feedback from their community, send behind the scenes photos or videos, and use voice notes for more authentic expression.
