Netflix has emerged as the most searched media stream service, as per figures from the latest SEMrush study, media reports said.

Its average search volume stands at 34,205, SEMrush, the online visibility management and content marketing SaaS platform, has found.

It recently conducted a study on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Tata Sky and found that after Netflix announced its new subscription plan for India its price search volume has jumped by 83 per cent between June and July.

The second position has been held by Amazon Prime with an average search of 6,878.9.

Fernando Angulo, Head, International Market, SEMrush, was quoted in media reports as saying: “Netflix, Amazon Prime and Tata Sky are the new age media services which are giving tough competition to each other. All three of these media services are significantly attracting Indian audiences for the subscription with interesting packages. The data revealed in the study is self-explanatory for their accelerating popularity amongst viewers. According to this case study by SEMrush, Indian audiences are inclining more towards Netflix’s subscription in last couple of months, all credits to its interesting subscription plan.”
