PM Modi’s speech in Dubai receives good cheer from top editors
Shekhar Gupta, Barkha Dutt, Rajdeep Sardesai, Rahul Kanwal and others took to Twitter to express their views on PM Modi’s speech in Dubai
On Monday night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a crowd of more than 50,000 Indians at the Dubai Cricket Stadium in UAE. He highlighted the need for both the nations to focus on stepping up economic engagement in a range of sectors. Modi along with the PM of UAE, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum spoke about investment climate in India and both the leaders deliberated on ways to further boost trade ties while emphasising on taking forward the overall relationship. He further highlighted that UAE trusted Indians enough to invest Rs 4.5 lakh crore in India. Highlighting terrorism, Modi indirectly took a dig at Pakistan and announced that those who are involved in terrorism should be punished.
He further spoke about how the government is working towards strengthening relationship with the neighbouring countries.
He was on a two-day trip to UAE and in the last 34 years, he is India’s first PM to visit UAE.
