Spotify has decided to stop for now selling US political advertising from early next year, media reports have said.
This will apply to Spotify’s ad-supported service, its original and exclusive podcasts.
The change will only affects US Spotify. The move has been described as a “pause” and may resume ads in the future.
The company statement said as per media reports: “At this point in time, we do not yet have the necessary level of robustness in our processes, systems and tools to responsibly validate and review this content.”
