Indiatimes has announced the launch of Hibuddy, its first ever voice social networking and blogging service for mobile users. In order to avail of this service, users need to call 58888199 and create their voice channel, through which they can connect to other users with similar interests. Thus, users looking for social networking no longer need to be connected to the Internet and can easily find friends right from their mobile phones.

The service also allows users to voice blog, wherein users can share jokes, shayari, astrology, stock tips, etc., making it a complete C2C continuum.

Speaking about Hibuddy, Rishi Khiani, CEO, Times Internet Ltd, (Indiatimes), said, “Social networking and blogging has seen rapid growth in India. This service will extend the growth for mobile phone users. This will allow users to connect with one another in real time through social interactions on voice, which is a more personal medium. I expect Hibuddy to be the next big thing in social networking and voice blogging in India.”

Hibuddy will offer channels like ‘Shivani Ki Chatpati Duniya’, where people can exchange instant recipes; ‘Kabeer Ka PJ World’, where they can share jokes; catch up on all the gossip at ‘Shweta Ke Gossip Golgappe’; get tips for cars and bikes at ‘Sid Ka Biking World’; and get their dating fundas right at ‘Saurabh Ki Love Ki Pathshala’.

The service is currently available with only the Reliance mobile network, but will soon be available on more networks.
