BCCI has decided to unbundle TV broadcasting and digital rights for all bilateral series in which Team India will be playing from now on, as per a media report.

The move is expected to allow the cricket board to gain maximum value, a BCCI official has been quoted as saying. The value of big cricket properties has also doubled in the country, the senior member of the cricket body has remarked as per the report.

This comes after BCCI raked in Rs 48,390 crore with the splitting of digital and TV rights for IPL's 2023-27 cycle. Post the auction, it was reported that IPL's media rights value has appreciated nearly 196 per cent.

In the auction that took place in June, Disney Star India won the TV rights, while Viacom18 bagged the digital rights for the Indian sub-continent.

It is also to be noted that BCCI had a windfall gain of Rs 4,600 crore with the auctioning of five team franchises for the just-concluded Women's Premier League.
