Some lucky Mumbai Indians fans got to travel in an open air double-decker bus, along with Red FM RJs, on March 25 to cheer for their favourite team. The bus journey started from Red FM’s office and culminated at the Brabourne stadium, the venue of the IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.
The tour was led by cheerleaders and Red FM RJs dressed in Mumbai Indian jerseys, who gave away tickets to the evening’s match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings and encouraged the gang of fans to cheer their home team and enthuse their fellow Mumbaikars on the streets.
The bus stopped at selected locations for listeners to join the gang, shake a leg and cheer for Mumbai Indians. An interactive session with the fans on the bus was organised where the RJs mingled with everyone, played games and offered exciting prizes to the lucky winners, while also giving regular updates about the procession on-air.
Anuj Singh, National Marketing Head and West Head, Red FM, elaborated, “Red FM decided to organise this massive cheering squad in an open air bus procession to congratulate the Mumbai Indians on their outstanding performance so far and to cheer them for their upcoming matches. Like the last two years, we will leave no stone unturned to make this IPL season exciting and entertaining for our listeners. So, let’s hope with all the cheering and excitement, the Mumbai Indians will continue their successful streak.”
Besides this, Red FM’s RJ Malishka will bring the latest match updates right from the field as the 12th member of the team. Joining her will be all the Red FM jocks, who will be giving away personalised Mumbai Indian jerseys, autographed cricket bats, match passes for all the home matches of the Mumbai Indians and multiplex match screening tickets for all matches to the listeners.
