In a big win, Denstu Aegis Network (DAN) has won the media mandate for handset majors OPPO Mobile and OnePlus.
The integrated account is estimated to be around Rs 500 crore and involves media as well as digital duties.
While both Denstu and the mobile companies are tight-lipped about the deal, highly placed industry sources confirmed the development to exchange4media on Tuesday evening.
OnePlus had initiated the process for a media pitch sometime in November, whereas OPPO had started the process much before. Several leading agencies, including incumbent Starcom Mediavest, were believed to be in the race for this account. However, OnePlus continues to work with Starcom and other agencies for other mandates.
Starcom was handling both the accounts since 2015. Industry sources believed that the pitch got delayed as there were some senior level resignations in OPPO in the last quarter. The companies later decided to merge the two pitches.
