The live streaming of the India–New Zealand final on JioHotstar registered extraordinary viewership on Sunday, with concurrent viewers peaking at nearly 78.5 crore (785 million) during the final moments of the match at Narendra Modi Stadium.

According to platform figures, the high-intensity clash between India national cricket team and New Zealand national cricket team became one of the most watched digital sporting events in the country, easily surpassing the previous peak of 65.2 million concurrent viewers recorded during the India–England semi-final earlier in the tournament.

Viewership increased steadily throughout the game, with audience engagement rising during crucial turning points in the match.

When New Zealand began their innings in pursuit of India’s target, concurrent viewership on JioHotstar was around 58.3 crore. The numbers climbed further as the contest advanced, indicating growing fan engagement across the country.

A notable spike was seen when New Zealand batter Tim Seifert was dismissed, taking concurrent viewership to nearly 63.2 crore as the momentum shifted clearly in India’s favour.
