Zomato delivers a Tweet, a brand repartee follows
The tweet saw other brands such as Amazon Prime Video, Mobikwik, The Viral Fever, YouTube India, Dabur Hajmola etc. all pitching in with their quirky version of Zomato’s Twitter advice
“Guys, kabhi kabhi ghar ka khana bhi kha lena chahiye,” tweeted Zomato India a few days ago. Loosely translated, Zomato advised customers to sometimes eat at home. Within minutes the twitter handle was flush with quirky responses that had the Twitterati in splits and entertained. It also led to speculations of Zomato delivering home food soon. The tweet created such a buzz that Zomato founder, Deepinder Goyal, too was compelled to respond with a “Who did this? Good tweet.”

The fun had only just started, soon enough, Zomato’s tweet saw other brands on Twitter join the banter. Amazon Prime Video in, Mobikwik, The Viral Fever, YouTube India, Dabur Hajmola etc. all pitched in with their version of Zomato’s Twitter advice.
While Mobikwik advised “Guys, kabhi kabhi queue me lag ke bhi Electricity bill pay kar dena chahiye, YouTube India recommended “Guys, kabhi kabhi raat ke 3 baje, phone side pe rakh ke jaana chahiye“ and Hajmola India chipped in with advice on good digestion, “Guys, kabhi kabhi kuch baatein na hajam kar leni chahiye.”
But Zomato India wasn’t done yet, the food delivery giant decided to have the last laugh and clubbed all the responses from the various brands that had reacted to their original tweet and replied “Guys, kabhi kabhi khud ke ache tweet bhi soch lene chahiye.”
