Times of India is the print king and a simple reason is the readership figure of 70,51,000 that it enjoys. Last IRS round however, this figure was 70,98,000, giving the daily a dip of 47,000. India Today takes the second slot. However, the publication drops by 1,49,000 recording a readership of 40,47,000 in comparison to the last IRS figure of 41,96,000. Hindustan Times, the only daily to register a growth in the English top ten players, takes the third slot. The daily now delivers a readership of 32,77,000 vis-à-vis the 31,54,000 it earlier claimed.

Hindu, Reader's Digest and General Knowledge Today occupy the fourth, fifth and sixth positions. All these publications have shown a drop in readership this round. Hindu has fallen from 27,43,000 to 26,69,000. Reader's Digest has gone down to 23,62,000 observing a fall by 54,000 in readership and General Knowledge Today goes down to 22,61,000 from 23,04,000.

Filmfare, which claims the seventh position, sees a substantial fall of 2,42,000 taking the readership to 22,17,000. Competition Success Review with a readership of 20,06,000 is the eighth most read publication. Outlook and Stardust take the ninth and 10th slots. Outlook grows by 36,000 making the readership figure a 12,58,000 and Stardust falls by 1,10,000 taking the magazine's readership down to 12,43,000 from 13,53,000.
