MSOs & cable operators must carry DD, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha channels: MIB

MIB has notified that 25 DD channels, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha channels have to be compulsorily carried by MSOs and cable operators on their cable tv network.
Violation of this order can invite action under Section 11, 12 and 18 of the Cable Act, the ministry has said.
The ministry has said rules framed under the terms and conditions stipulated in the MSO permission will be applicable in a case of violations.
