The oversight committee that was formed to review BARC India’s outlier policy has given a clean chit to the existing practices, media reports have said.

The outlier policy came under the scanner after the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) legalised the usage of landing page.

Nakul Chopra and Praveen Tripathi, the members of the committee, are said to have submitted their report last week.

exchange4media had reported the formation of the committee in June.

The committee, as per media reports, has said that it hasn’t found anything manual about the current process and that it was based on algorithms.

The panel is also learnt to have said that the present system can continue till it comes up with something better for treating landing pages.
