Piyush Pandey joins ZEE Entertainment's Board as an Independent Director

The Board of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL), during the meeting held March 20, appointed Piyush Pandey as an Independent Director based on the recommendation of Nomination & Remuneration Committee, with effect from March 24th, 2020.

As the first advertising professional to be honoured with the national civilian award – ‘Padma Shri’, Pandey comes with a rich experience of over 37 years. Pandey adds immense value to the Board in providing strategic guidance to ZEEL in the area of creativity and content creation. In the rapidly evolving media & entertainment landscape, the Company will be able to draw on his rich experience in the realm of advertising.

In the said meeting, the Board also accepted the resignations of Aparajita Jain and Surender Singh and thanked them for their contribution.

Piyush Pandey holds a Master's of Arts degree from St. Stephens College, Delhi and a Post Graduate in History from the University of Delhi has a rich experience of over 37 years in the field of Advertising, all with Ogilvy and Mather, India. Besides his current role as Executive Chairman of O & M India, he was made the Worldwide Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy in January 2019.
