Prasar Bharati had broadcast the drama surrounding Sonia Gandhi’s resignation from the post of CPP leader. The state-owned television channel was the main source of live feed for all the private news channels on Tuesday last.
Private news channels had mixed the Doordarshan feed with their news broadcast during the three-hour drama at the central hall of Parliament.
Besides, the state owned broadcaster has also raised objections to some of the channels blocking the Doordarshan logo while telecasting its live feed.
Prasar Bharati has also written to the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) to take up the issue with its members.
According to the official, Prasar Bharati has pointed out that though it is a public service broadcaster, the private broadcasting companies should have given it its due by not blocking its logo.
