Salman Khan, SRK, Rani Mukerji significantly boost Sony TV viewership: BARC India

Dus Ka Dum season three grand finale had the makings of a hit show with September 9 viewership seeing a boost of 70% by garnering 644 million impressions

In week 37 of BARC India ratings, Sony Entertainment Television maintained its first position in the urban market. What put the channel in the lead position was the grand finale of Salman Khan’s Dus Ka Dum, which garnered 644 mn viewers on Sony TV.
One of the most awaited reality shows of SET, Dus Ka Dum season three come to an end on September 9. The finale of season 3 was aired over two episodes on September 8 and 9, which was the culminating episode.

Dus Ka Dum season three finale not only had host Salman Khan but also Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji as special guests, which further helped to improve the viewership of the show.

As per BARC data, on September 8, the show’s viewership grew to 47 per cent and registered 711 million impressions as compared to the previous four weeks average (Saturday), which was 485 million impressions.

Meanwhile, on September 9, the viewership increased to 70 per cent. The show garnered 644 million impressions as compared to last four weeks average (Sunday) of 378 million impressions.

The show made a comeback on television in June 2018, after a gap of 9 years.
