Laqshya India, consisting of its OOH specialist agency division OMI, the Airports and also the conventional OOH Media divisions, has strengthened its organisation to tackle an aggressive growth phase that it anticipates in the immediate future.

While Indrajit Sen continues as CEO and Soumitra Bhattacharya as President Corporate Affairs, Atul Srivastava, formerly Senior VP for North and East Regions, has been elevated to the post of COO. Srivastava will also head the OMI division as well as oversee all the branches in their support functions.

Shashi Sinha, who was National Sales Head for Airports, will now have all Assets under his wing as the new Senior VP – National Asset Sales. Both Srivastava and Sinha will continue to report to Indrajit Sen. The regions will also see some cascading changes with OMI division being headed by Amarjeet Singh Huda in the North, Sumit Roy Chowdhury in the East, Amit Nagrath in the West and Ravikanth Gauravaram in the South. Gauravaram will also be responsible for High Value New Business Development nationally for the Group.

Naren Babu and Jude de Valiers shall continue to be responsible for Laqshya assets and support functions in South and AP, including Airports, respectively. de Valiers also continues to be in-charge of Laqshya’s Colombo Airport concession. On similar lines, Naveen Jalan will be responsible for Assets and support functions in the West Region.

For regional Assets Sales, Rajesh Mendiratta for the North & East, Seema Jain for the West, Chandrasekhar Rao for AP, are the new responsibility centers.

Commenting on the development, Sen said, “Now that we are coming to the end of 2010-11 we needed to look at the next 2-3 years very carefully and see that the positive trend that we had set in motion from the second half of 2010 continues and we grow from strength to strength, and it is because of this we felt the need to effectively mobilise resources to give us the flexibility to grow aggressively and take Laqshya to glorious heights.”

On his new role, Atul Srivastava said, “I am delighted by the faith the management has reposed in me. Recognition within the organisation is an assurance that your efforts have been taken positively by the management.”

“With this consolidation, we will now have better synergy in our asset sales efforts, and I am sure this would go a long way in building a formidable base for us in this country and give our clients more flexibility to integrate all their OOH marketing efforts through a single point,” said Shashi Sinha.
