Shweta Poojari leaves Disney+ Hotstar, returns to Netflix
Poojari was the head of PR and press for Disney+ Hotstar for over two years
Shweta Poojari, the head of PR and press for Disney+ Hotstar, has left the company after over two years of association. She joined Netflix on Wednesday as Head of Communications. This is Poojari's second stint with Netflix. She was earlier with the streaming giant from 2018 to 2022.
Poojari announced the news on LinkedIn.
“Not everyone gets a chance to work for the brand they love - I got this chance not once but twice in my career. I feel immensely grateful to pick up from where I left at Netflix. She had announced the news of her departure from Hotstar on LinkedIn last week.
"A great run at the called Disney+ Hotstar," she wrote in a recent LinkedIn post. Learning from the brightest minds in the field has been a rewarding and enlightening experience. To keep the flag flying high, I am happy to have built the PR function and left behind one of the best PR teams. I am incredibly thankful and pleased for the last two years. eager to read the upcoming chapter."
Shweta has worked in public relations for more than ten years. She has previously worked with Netflix, INOX, Sony Pictures, Avian Media and Lowe Lintas.
