Siddharth Shekhar has announced on LinkedIn that he has taken on a new role as Director, LCS at Google India. In his expanded position, he will oversee key sectors including government and public sector, banking and financial services, education, and automotive.
Shekhar wrote: “I’m happy to announce that I’m starting a new position as Director, LCS, Google India! I will be expanding my role and have the privilege of managing sectors that are truly the backbone of the Indian economy – Government & Public Sector, BFSI, Education and Auto.”
He further added: “What excites me most about this opportunity is the timing. With the rapid advancements in Google's AI efforts, we have a unique opportunity to partner with industry leaders to tackle complex problems and drive real, measurable growth. I am eager to help our partners leverage these tools to transform their businesses.”
Prior to this elevation, Shekhar served as Industry Head – Technology, Media and Entertainment, and Telecom. Previously, he also worked with Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd for approximately four years, and with Disney Star for over three years, among other organisations.
