Meenu Handa, Corporate Communications Head at Microsoft India has moved on after an eight-year stint. Confirming the news to exchange4media, Handa said that she has joined Amazon as Director, Corporate Communications.

Handa has almost 23 years of experience in the industry. She had joined Microsoft in 2005 as opposed to media speculation about her joining Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide as National President.

Prior to Microsoft, Handa had a stint with IPAN, where she worked for 15 years. She had handled clients across various verticals, including HLL, Posco, EDS, HCL Group, Allied Domecq, Swatch Group, Star TV, MTV and Boeing, and various industry associations. Handa’s strengths lie in the area of crisis communications, issues management, advocacy, corporate positioning and marketing communications.

Meanwhile, at Microsoft no new appointment has been made to fill Handa’s position. Gauri Arora will be taking all the major decisions at Microsoft in the interim.
