PHD and MediaCom retain GSK global media account estimated at around $1.7 billion
GSK reviewed its media account two years ago, deciding to split it between GroupM and Omnicom
GlaxoSmithKline has retained incumbent agencies PHD and MediaCom from the GroupM umbrella to handle its global media account( planning and buying ) after a competitive pitch. The account size is estimated at $1.7 billion according to reports. The review was initiated earlier this year.
The global account includes Novartis, the media mandate for which was won by SMG in 2011 but it did not participate in the consolidated review.
A global review two years ago had led to the split of media duties between GroupM and Omnicom.
