Toshiba, LIC, Eureka Forbes & RPSG among top advertisers on Budget Day 2018
As people turned to TV to keep track of Arun Jaitley’s budget proposals, BARC India data shows who advertised the most on Hindi and English news channels.
On 1 February, the nation eagerly waited for the Union Budget 2018, which not only helped news channels to get higher viewership, but also helped brands and advertisers to grab more eyeballs.

Across English News channels (Excluding BBC World and WION), RP Sanjiv Goenka Group becomes the top advertiser of the day and recorded 118 Impressions (000s). Next in the category was Eureka Forbes grabbing the second position with 117 Impressions (000s). JK Lakshmi Cement, Toshiba and LIC stood third, fourth and fifth with 92, 87 and 76 Impressions (000s) respectively.
RP Sanjiv Goenka again led the top five brands on Budget Day. The brand recorded 118 Impressions (000s). Aquaguard maintained second position in the list with 117 Impressions (000s). JK Lakshmi Cement, Toshiba and Gabon Calling bagged the hird, fourth and fifth positions with 92, 87 and 68 Impressions (000s) respectively.
On the other side, across Hindi news channels (Top 10 Hindi news channels), Patanjali led the top five advertisers list with 352 Impressions (000s). SSK bagged the second position with 241 Impressions (000s). HUL, JK Lakshmi Cement and Unichem Laboratories held the third, fourth and fifth position with 229, 160 and 144 Impressions (000s).
In the top five brands list, JK Lakshmi Cement dominated the category with 160 Impressions (000s). Syska LED garnered the second spot with 146 Impressions (000s). Unichem Laboratories stood at number three in the category with 144 Impressions (000s). Astral PVC Pipes and Dr Ortho maintained the fourth and fifth positions with 109 and 88 Impressions (000s) respectively.
