Dentsu & mcgarrybowen agencies merge to create Dentsumcgarrybowen
Gordon Bowen, Co-founder of mcgarrybowen & Chief Creative Officer at DAN, has been named Global Chairman of Dentsumcgarrybowen
Dentsu Aegis Network has announced the merging of its Dentsu and mcgarrybowen agencies (outside of Japan) to create a single entity, Dentsumcgarrybowen. Dentsu Japan creative operations will remain separate but will work closely with Dentsumcgarrybowen on shared clients.
Chairman & Chief Creative Officer at Dentsu, Merlee Cruz Jayme, along with Chairman & Chief Creative Officer at Dentsu, Philippines Jayme Syfu and Jon Dupuis, who is currently Global President at Mcgarrybowen, have been named as Co-Presidents of the new entity, and they will report to Jean Lin, DAN's Global Chief Executive of Creative. Gordon Bowen, Co-founder of Mcgarrybowen & Chief Creative Officer at DAN, has been named Global Chairman of Dentsumcgarrybowen.
The new agency will have 3,000 employees across 24 markets including the US, the UK, Italy and Amsterdam, with major clients such as American Express, Toyota and Subway.
