Karan Shroff has been appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer at Unacademy. Shroff has announced the news on his LinkedIn page.
"Today, I was elevated to the role of CMO at Unacademy, and amidst the flurry of emotions, I can only say that the one of happiness stands out," he wrote.
In this new role, he will lead marketing for the Unacademy group while elevating the marketing efforts to achieve Unacademy’s vision of democratising education.
Previously, he was the Vice President of Marketing at the e-learning platform. Shroff led the marketing efforts including performance marketing, brand management among others.
He spearheaded various popular marketing initiatives with the goal of building brand awareness about Unacademy and the benefits of online education.
Prior Unacademy, Shroff served as the head of Brand Marketing at Xiaomi India for over four years. He had been heading advertising, ATL campaigns, sponsorships, brand partnerships, media buying, consumer insights, creative marketing and overall brand positioning for Xiaomi.
