MRUC has released the Indian Readership Survey (IRS) Round 1 data for 2007. There are not too many surprises, as the top publications of IRS 2006 R2 continue to hold their places. Dainik Jagran leads among dailies, Saras Salil is the leader in magazines and The Times of India reigns among English dailies. Almost all publications have registered significant drops.

India PC shipments are expected to grow by 20 per cent this year. Worldwide PC shipments too, according to Gartner, are forecasted to total 255.7 million units this year — a 10.5 per cent increase from 2006. The PC revenue is projected to reach $213.7 billion, a 4.6 per cent increase.
