Varun Soni has joined Ansal API as DGM-Corporate Communications. He has moved from Hindustan Times where he was Assistant Editor for six months. He has also worked with the Financial Express as Assistant Editor for one year. He had done an earlier stint with HT for six and a half years as Assistant News Editor. Apart from this, Soni has also worked with PTI for three years as Feature writer and Media Transasia as Copy Editor for two years.

Dhruba Mukherjee

Dhruba Mukherjee has been appointed by ABP Group as General Manager, The Telegraph. He would report to Jayashree Mohanka, who recently joined The Telegraph as VP. Mukherjee began his career with ABP Group in 1997. He has since worked as Assistant Manager-Brand, Ananda Bazaar Patrika. After taking a sabbatical for a year, he rejoined the company in 2000 as Regional Manager, Circulation, South Bengal. Subsequently, he was made Regional Manager for the Eastern region. He has also been GM, Circulation, for dailies.

Sushma Singh, a 1972 batch Jharkhand (then Bihar) cadre IAS officer, has been appointed Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. Civil Aviation Secretary Ashok Chawla had been given additional charge of I&B Secretary after the previous person in-charge, Asha Swarup, was transferred to Himachal Pradesh as Chief Secretary.
