MTV Networks International (MTVNI), a unit of Viacom, has promoted Indra Suharjono as EVP and MD, MTV Networks Southeast Asia and Greater China. Based in Singapore, Suharjono will succeed Amit Jain, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, MTV Networks Southeast Asia, China and India, who will work closely with Suharjono to ensure a smooth transition while he takes on special projects for MTVNI based out of Singapore.

Regional FM stations are all set to be the next big thing and 2009, which could possibly see the rollout of the Phase III of FM expansion, is expected to see these FM stations play a big role. Sure there are some difficult turns too, but the road ahead for the regional FM stations looks reasonably bump free.

Following the completion of the contract between Tata Teleservices and its media agency Lodestar Universal, the company is in the process of reviewing its media duties. Tata Teleservices has already spoken to various agencies for credential presentations, and is now in the process of short-listing the agencies that would finally contest for the business.
