Chandradeep Mitra, President, Mudra Max, is exiting the company. Mitra had joined Mudra Max (then OMS) in November 2005. Prior to that, he was associated with Lintas Healthcare and Lintas Personal. Both the Mudra media brands under Mudra Max – Mudra Connext and Mudra Radar – were reporting to Mitra. It is understood that these units, which have their own heads, would be directly reporting to Pratap Bose, COO, Mudra Group.

Network18 Media & Investments Ltd has reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 44 crore in Q3 as against a profit of Rs 19.4 crore in Q3 FY08. The company has also suffered a loss of Rs 36.6 crore in its Q3 operating profits as against a profit of Rs 66.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY08.

After a double digit growth for over a decade, the study cautions the media and advertising industry honchos to prepare for a major slowdown in growth and projects a growth of only 2 per cent in 2009. This low growth projection must be viewed against the backdrop of a fall in advertising markets (negative growth) around the world.
