Apple and Meta discussed AI partnerships: Report
Apart from Google, AI startups Anthropic and Perplexity are also in talks to integrate generative AI models into Apple's AI system
Tech goliaths Meta Platforms and Apple Inc have reportedly discussed integrating Meta’s generative AI model into Apple’s AI system that was recently announced for iPhones.
Apart from Google, AI startups Anthropic and Perplexity are also in the fray, according to a news report.
The report also said that there’s a chance that the discussions could fall through, and the size of the financial windfall is unclear. The discussion between the parties involved AI companies selling premium subscriptions through Apple Intelligence, said the report.
The iPhone maker recently announced that it will integrate the new Apple Intelligence tech across its apps that include Siri, and will bring Microsoft’s OpenAi chatbot and ChatGPT to the premium phones.
