Google parent Alphabet reports $38.9 billion in Q2 revenue

Google parent company Alphabet has reported a revenue of $38.94 billion during the second quarter, a 19 per cent jump from the same period last year, according to media reports.
The company reported profit of $9.9 billion during the quarter.
The company's net income for the second quarter rose to $9.95 billion, from $3.2 billion a year earlier.
Google Properties revenue rose nearly 18% to $27.34 billion. Google said traffic acquisition costs, or what it pays to partner websites, rose 13% to $7.24 billion.
According to reports, company's CEO Sundar Pichai during an earnings call with analysts said Google is working towards making privacy controls more easily accessible, expanding its incognito mode to maps and adding new auto delete controls.
