Hotstar, the OTT platform for Star, has taken off the ‘Koffee with Karan’ episode with Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul after a controversy broke out over remarks the cricketers had made on the show.

The Season 6 episode that was aired on Sunday was taken offline on Thursday night following the uproarPa Pandya had boasted about hooking up with several women and how his family were “cool” about his sexual activities.

“I like to watch and observe how they (women) move. I'm little from the black side so I need to see how they move,” Pandya had said when asked why he didn't ask women their names in clubs.

The link of the episode that had been tweeted out by Hotstar is no longer active.

On Wednesday, Pandya tweeted his apology. "After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone's sentiments. Respect."

Meanwhile, Pandya and Rahul have been issued showcause notices by the BCCI for their comments. The cricketers drew a lot of flak on social media too.
